Health Consultations...
You are the ultimate decision maker for your own health. You can make
more effective choices when you work in partnership with a health care
provider to interpret symptoms, evaluate physical findings and develop a
treatment plan. That advice, counsel and assistance is the service I
provide. When you need help, I will offer you caring attention, skilled
clinical evaluation, individualized advice, and relevant health
education. My goal is to help you learn to live a healthy and balanced life.
Some reasons you might visit The Nurse’s Office…
You have health questions and you want answers now.
You take prescription drugs for a medical problem, and you want to
decrease your dependence on these medicines…perhaps explore nutrition,
exercise, and supplements. Your doctor supports this but does not have
time to discuss it.
You are a self-reliant individual who tries to stay out of the doctor’s
office, but now you have a troubling symptom. You want to know whether
you can take care of this problem yourself or if you need medical
testing and treatment.
You don’t have medical insurance…or you have high-deductible insurance
with an HSA. You want to spend your health care dollars wisely.
Illnesses and injuries do occur. When you need medical attention, we
will work together so that you know the right questions to ask and what
to expect in the doctor’s office. Being efficient in your approach to
medical care can save you time and money.
For those not familiar with nurse practitioners…a Family Nurse
Practitioner (FNP) is a registered nurse with a Master’s degree in
Nursing (MSN). Initial and continuing competency is monitored by the
American Nurses Credentialing Center. License to practice with specialty
certification is granted by the State of Michigan.
